Families change fast. The gap-toothed smile, the way your toddler buries their face in your shoulder, the chaos of getting everyone in one place at the same time — these are the seasons you will want back later.

I'm Kelly, a family photographer based in Greenwood, Indiana, serving families throughout Indianapolis and Central Indiana. With more than 20 years behind the camera, my goal is simple: photographs that look like your family, not like a stiff pose.

What a family session loOK LIKE

A family session is relaxed and guided. I'll direct you enough that nobody feels awkward, and then I'll step back and let your family be yourselves. We'll get the posed portrait for the wall, and we'll also get the real moments in between — the laughter, the tickling, the running, the quiet.

Sessions usually include:

  • Immediate family portraits
  • Individual photographs of each child
  • Parent and child combinations
  • Sibling photographs
  • Candid, unposed moments
  • Grandparents or extended family, when requested


What to expect


Timing. Family sessions typically run 30 to 60 minutes. Younger children set the pace, and I plan around nap times and attention spans rather than fighting them.

Preparation. I'll send you a simple guide before your session with tips on what to wear, what to bring, and how to help everyone arrive relaxed.

Posing. You do not need to know how to pose. I'll guide you the whole way.

Children. Busy children are welcome. So are shy ones. I have two decades of experience working with kids, and I will follow their lead.

Weather. For outdoor sessions, we'll reschedule together if the weather does not cooperate.

Family photography pricing

Family sessions start at $299 and include a set number of edited digital images delivered through an online gallery.

Where sessions take place


You can choose an outdoor location or the studio.

Outdoor sessions work beautifully in Greenwood and the surrounding area. I know local spots that look their best at different times of year, and I'll recommend a location based on your family and the season.

Studio sessions are calm, temperature-controlled, and easy with young children. No weather worries, no bug spray, and everything we need is within reach.
